So Im back from the land of curry and culture!

I had an absoloutely amazing time, taking lots of passable photos and eating curry every single day (almost every meal actually)

Im still trawling through all my photos but a few have been uploaded already, im also waiting on a film to be developed, hope you all enjoy them!

Probably the best part was stopping off at villages between cities, the locals were all really friendly, esspecially the children who would crowd round and pose for photos, then mob you to see the photo!

Id love to go again sometime, maye visit Goa as well, but until then, Ive got another college trip to Thiland just this time next year!!

PS. If you ever go to india take lots of pencils... the kids go mad for them!

Today I bought the beautifully nostalgic Nikon F-301(N2000) and a 80-200mm lens! All that for £30 ($60 for you americans ) off my mate from college!

The camera is Film for anyone who didn't know by the F lol, I adore using film, the feel of it when you press the shutter is just 100x more satisfying than that of a digital.

Im using an Ilford HP5 plus 400 B&W film in atm, mainly because i can develop this for nout at the college darkroom but also becuase I love black and white esspecially for portraits!

Also I got a Crumpler Opulent Rooster half photo backpack. This is the best thing ive ever had round my shoulders! I can fit my D40x, F-301, extra lense, flashgun, accecories (filters etc), a 17'' laptop if I could afford to buy one and my lunch and have quite a bit of room to spare! Definately would reccommend it to any photographer going places!

Also for my next unit in photography I have to do something on people and have kind of decided on doing people at work.. trying to capture the atmosphere that different people work in and the attitudes the people who work there go about their jobs. I also plan to shoot the lot in film as well as digital (mainly as a backup if i screw up the devving) and black and white all the way!

Jessops rang to say that they cant get my Hoya R72 to me at the moment because it doesnt meet the EU regulations! how balls!

Its friday night and that means ive finished my stint at my work placement at a photography studio
It was really good though!! I learnt a lot of tips and got to see how the pros do it.
Mostly I was helping out with a shoot for kitchen sink manufactures, Frankf. This involved a very complicated 6 flash setup with countless diffusers and stuff. We used a D2x for that which is great btw!! Unfortunaely I cant post the pic from that or id be forced to kill you if you saw it..
Then I was let loose on two of my own projects which I have posted the pieces from, that was really fun! I was using a weird lense though.. you had to pull and push part of it to change focal length :S, the D1x is also awsome.
I don't know/cba trying to put thumbs on of the photos so go check my gallery!

I got a work experience placement at a professional studio
I'll keep you updated as to how it goes (if any of my few watchers are interested!)

Also on another note i got a properm, boring but paying job..
